Seit Jahrzehnten wird über die beschissenen Arbeitsbedingungen für Migrantinnen in den großen Warenlagern & Logistikzentren wie Amazon oder Geist, sowie in der Fleischindustrie diskutiert. Die Belegschaft in solchen Betrieben besteht hauptsächlich aus migrantischen Arbeiterinnen in prekären Arbeitsverhältnissen. Die schlechten Arbeitsbedingungen migrantischer Arbeitskräfte in Deutschland sind allerdings kein neues Phänomen, sondern haben eine lange Geschichte, ebenso wie die Kämpfe dagegen.Schon vor 60 Jahren traf der berühmte Satz von Max Frisch „Wir riefen Arbeitskräfte, aber es kamen Menschen an“ auf die Situation zu, in der sich viele Menschen bis heute befinden, die seit Mitte der fünfziger Jahre des vorigen Jahrhunderts in die Bundesrepublik kamen. Sie sollten beim wirtschaftlichen Aufschwung helfen, wurden jedoch nicht als geleichberechtigte und gleichwertige Menschen anerkannt, sondern durch die Unterwerfung auf ihre ökonomische Verwertbarkeit reduziert. Der Kampf gegen diesen rassistischen Zustand in der Gesellschaft und auf dem Arbeitsmarkt, zieht sich seitdem durch die deutsche Geschichte.
Peter Birke, der als Soziologe über soziale Bewegungen und Arbeitskämpfe forscht, wird an diesem Tag über die aktuelle Lage migrantischer Kämpfe gegen rassistische Arbeitsbedingungen mit Film und Bildern referieren.
Im Anschluss werden einige Migrant*innen von ihren Erfahrungen über prekäre Arbeitsbedingungen und von ihren Arbeitskämpfen berichten.
Organisiert wird die Veranstaltung vom AK Asyl und der FAU Göttingen.

Evento con Peter Birke sobre „las luchas de los inmigrantes y las condiciones de trabajo racistas“ Martes, 23 Abril 2024 , 6 pm | Obere Maschstraße 10 | Göttingen Durante décadas se ha estado hablando de las malas condiciones de trabajo de los inmigrantes en los grandes centros شlogísticos como Amazon o Geist, así como en la industria cárnica. La mano de obra de estas empresas está compuesta principalmente por trabajadores inmigrantes en condiciones laborales precarias.
Sin embargo, las malas condiciones laborales de los trabajadores inmigrantes en Alemania no son un fenómeno nuevo, sino que tienen una larga historia, al igual que las luchas contra ellas. Incluso hace 60 años, la famosa frase de Max Frisch „Pedimos mano de obra, pero llegó la gente“ se aplicaba a la situación en la que aún hoy se encuentran muchas personas llegadas a Alemania desde mitad de los años cincuenta del siglo pasado. Se suponía que debían ayudar a la reactivación económica, pero no se les reconoció como personas con los mismos derechos y el mismo valor, sino que se les redujo a su utilidad económica mediante el sometimiento. La lucha contra esta situación racista en la sociedad y en el mercado laboral ha atravesado la historia alemana desde entonces. Este día, Peter Birke, sociólogo que investiga los movimientos sociales y las luchas laborales, hablará de la situación actual de las luchas de los emigrantes contra las condiciones de trabajo racistas utilizando películas e imágenes. A continuación, algunos inmigrantes hablarán de sus experiencias de condiciones de trabajo precarias y de sus luchas laborales.

Event with Peter Birke on „Migrant Struggles and Racist Working Conditions“ Tuesday, April 23rd 2024, 6 PM | Obere Maschstraße 10 | Göttingen For decades, there has been discussion about the poor working conditions for migrants in large warehouses and logistics centers such as Amazon or Geist, as well as in the meat industry. The workforce in such companies consists mainly of migrant workers in precarious working conditions. However, the poor working conditions of migrant workers in Germany are not a new phenomenon, but have a long history, as do the struggles against those conditions.
Even 60 years ago, Max Frisch’s famous saying „We called for workers, but people came“ applied to the situation in which many people who came to Germany from the middle of the fifties of the last century, still find themselves today. They were supposed to help the economic recovery, but were not recognized as people with equal rights and value, instead they were reduced to their economic usefulness through submission. The struggle against this racist situation in society and on the labor market has been going on ever since. On this day, Peter Birke, a sociologist who researches social movements and labor struggles, will speak about the current situation of migrant struggles against racist working conditions using film and images.Afterwards, some migrants will talk about their experiences of precarious working conditions and their labor struggles.
